ladies wild: how not dumb is gaga?

Sasha Frere-Jones’ piece about Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, otherwise known as Lady Gaga in pop culture, was a thoughtfully written article about the “quirky” dance-pop starlet that anyone is likely to find anywhere, and how abstractly intellectual she is about her music. Gaga is undoubtedly an intriguing artist, given that she’s a breath of fresh air in pop culture and dresses like a sci-fi character from star trek, and she somehow manages to top the charts with “bizarre” dance music over the stereotypical pop music we’ve grown to listen to. For a NYU drop out, it’s astounding how fast her name became famous, especially now that she’s compared to legends such as Prince or Madonna. As you can tell, I am gaga for Lady Gaga.
